This post will eventually hold information about some of the issues related to US immigration to Canada. I realized that by not posting entries which I thought were chronologically important that I was preventing myself from posting current entries. So I'm going to drop in a bunch of placeholders.
- Study Permit (Don't need a Visa if coming from the US)
- Proof of Financial Solvency
- Acceptance Letter from the school
- Passport
- Importation of Automobile
- Letter of authorization from leinholder or Title
- Insurance for Canada
- Some US insurers will insure in Canada until the end of the policy but cannot renew after that
- Employment in Canada
- Do not need a work permit to work at the University you are attending or in research positions for faculty of that university
- Need a work permit or permanent residency to work outside the university
